Your Pro Citizen Newsletter 12 - Movement, CM-3 release!
CM-3 The AR Pattern Rifle and Carbine (will be released in early April)
The new CM-3 manual. As we continue to write and publish content for the community, we remain committed to addressing an ever-widening selection of subjects. Next release in the Professional Citizen manual lineup is a firearm focused manual, specifically for the AR platform. This manual is aligned with our approach for assisting the real community, it lays out detailed information that is glossed over or ignored because it “isn’t sexy enough” to gain visibility on the typical outlets. There is a gap between the information (and dis-information) on forums and socials about America’s rifle. We analyzed available AR related content and focused the manual where we saw the shortfalls. Mike wrote the CM-3 manual to provide both the new(er) AR owner and the seasoned AR/M4 shooter with relevant, useful technical information and techniques. The CM-3 is the partner manual to the CM-1. The new manual will supply you with tons of high value content about your AR/M4 to augment the tactical skills contained in the CM-1. The manual covers AR myths, zeroing, barrel materials and advantages/disadvantages, ballistics, maintenance, and much more. Available at tpcproject.com in early April. We will do several giveaways on our IG page before the release date, follow us on there for a shot at winning one before you can buy it!

The CM-3 is packed with information for you and your AR. There is something for both new and experienced shooters in here. It will be available on our website in early April.

Movement. As we enter spring more of us will start venturing back out in the woods more often to get reps in. Yes, the community still goes out in the winter, but if we are being honest with ourselves the majority of outdoor time is now through Autumn. With the ramp up for spring and summer training and shooting we wanted to hit movement principles as we knock the rust off our tactics.

Move deliberately and quietly through the environment like our friend here. He understands motion and sound are the two biggest giveaways. (photo courtesy of IG @RhodeIslandAboriginal)
Any movement, especially fast, irregular, or furtive movement is the primary way to attract attention. It is what we look for; movement indicates either danger or prey. By moving slowly and deliberately you decrease the chance of detection or compromise. Movement combined with a background that allows it to stand out is a real killer. Do not silhouette yourself against the skyline when crossing hills or ridges. When moving, you will also have difficulty detecting the movement of a threat. Stop frequently, listen, and look around slowly (SLLS) to detect signs of hostile movement. It takes years to become proficient at putting all the patrolling skills together, but you can practice moving quietly anytime to hone this skill. This part seems like common sense - but stay out of open areas. It may be unavoidable for the terrain you are in (desert, plains etc), but if at all possible, avoid moving in the open if you are trying to remain unseen.
